    The little girls dream comes true...

    Joanne Merme Herrera a daughter of a humble parents "Mr. Homer Herrera and Engr. Gemma T. Herrera" who immigrated in Australia twenty one years ago. They happen to have a little girl who started shy but have an active mind and have ambition in life. Their little girl started her training in dancing at the age of 5. She was a consistent Physical Culture Champion Girl and had always been in the finals for Opera House Performances. She has been in local newspapers for her achievements.

    She also did gymnastics and won the regional competition and represented the Gymnastic State Championship at Homebush. She was also a consistent gymnast and won several achievement awards. At the age of 9 she was accepted to train gymnastics for 2004 Olympic but at the same time her interest is also to play the harp instrument. She had to choose between gymnastics and harp. Being an independent child she chose to train with the harp instrument. Since she was not doing a serious gymnastics anymore she decided to do serious dance classes and at the same time doing some subject tuition. She is a busy girl and has always wanted to do everything. She was doing multiple activities and her mother and father used to drive her everywhere. One moment in the car on the way to her lesson when she was only little she told her parents that "One day I will have my own school that could provide dance, music and education to parents to save them driving around".

    Currently, she is completing her final term of Bachelor Degree in Music major in Classical Music. She has been learning and playing harp since 9 years old. She has played in several music events like "LEGS11" music event held at the Domain, playing the harp in Captain Cook Cruises for the event for The Queen Mary Ship in 2007 and has experienced playing the harp in the orchestra pit of Sydney’s musical Wizard of OZ. She was also a guest harpist for The King’s & Tara School musical "My Fair Lady". She has been playing harp in several Weddings since 10 years old. She has been choreographing her own Hip-hop dance group KLOZ NCOUNTA and SNAP since year 9 and also won several competitions. Now her new dance group "GIGABEATZ" has won several competitions and nominated as the "Best Dance Group" 2007. Her dance group has been performing in several charity shows, clubs and promotions. GIGABEATZ back-up danced for 2PAC’s "The Outlawz Concert" for supporting act LIA MAJA and dancing in the opening of Urban Music Awards in 2007.

    She won several dance competitions and nominated as the "Best Solo Dancer" 2007. She was a backup dancer with Nikki Webster in "Let’s Dance" Video Clip. She has danced for Deni and Marcia Hines in the 2006 Australian Idol Grand Final at the Opera House, Australian artists BREED for FREESTYLE Magazine’s event “Night Shift” and others. She has been to USA for dance classes in L.A., New York and Las Vegas to dance. She attended several workshops and was trained by famous choreographers and dancers from Christina’s Aguilera’s dancers, Britney Spears’ dancer and Aaliyah’s Choreographer. She has also gained a six month dance scholarship last year and was offered another dance scholarship this year 2008.
